Photographer: Jessica MarquezSamantha Hahn and i met in 2008 at a textile print show. I have been following her work ever since. We chatted about a collaboration in 2009. It has been a slow process. Because of my kiln problem and subsequent move to a new studio in 2010, the project was on hold. Now I am all settled in my new workshop, I can tackle our creative endeavor again. There will be dinner plates, platters, tumblers and tea towels adorned with images from Samantha's illustration and they will be launched in late Spring 2011.
This month Samantha's lucsious water color will be in a fashion illustraion group show in Soho New York. The show is curated by renowned fashion illustrator Bil Donovan.
“Fashion Illustration Today: Visual Poetry” brings together 13 of the most talented and innovative artists working in fashion illustration today for an exhibition that showcases the uniqueness and visual poetry of the art of fashion illustration.”
