I Scream For Silkscreen

I am very fond of silkscreening since I shared a studio with talented artists Kate Banazi and illustrator Lisa Jones back in London, UK. both use this method in their work. I like how it is a hands-on craft and involves more skill and technique than computer generated graphics. I combined it with my ceramic work as soon as I can.

Throughout this month I've been taking an introductory silkscreen course at the Textile Art Center in Brooklyn, NY. In the past i've sent out for screens for decals and tea towels, now I can make my own. The course teaches you discharge printing, multi-plates printing and various screen processing methods. Moreover, I am making new friends and meeting other silkscreen enthusiasts. It is all good
